The anchor holds

Heb 6:17-19 - God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be
perfectly sure that He would never change His mind.
So God has given both His promise and His oath.
These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie.
Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.

God has given His oath and His promise so that whom ever flee to Him will have safe sanctuary.
God will protect us from things that we are facing on a daily basis. This may be trials, it may be sickness, it may be depression,
it does not matter what it is God will protect us and give us healing, strength and peace.
God cannot change and therefore His word cannot change. So many times in the Bible God assures us that He will guide
and protect us. Does this mean no troubles will come your way? For sure not, troubles will always be part of the child of God’s
life, but out of them all God will deliver us. He is our refuge and our safe tower.
David in Psalm 61 says the following, Psa 61:2-3 From the ends of the earth, I cry to You for help when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for You are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
God is a towering refuge. He has promised that he will protect us and guide us.
All we have to do is take God’s word for it Ray Boltz sings a song and the chorus goes like this:
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

You see we have an anchor in God namely Jesus Christ and it will hold in spite of the storm.

Lord please let our anchor hold in spite of the raging storm.
Although our ships are battered and our sails are torn we will hold fast onto the anchor and You have promised to lead us
to a safe harbour.

Amen
